Pre-employment Checks
If you are successful at interview your offer of employment is subject to a number of pre-employment checks.
The nature of checks we undertake are common practice for organisations that are regulated; MONY Group is committed to ensuring the safety and protection of our business, customers, people and data, by employing and engaging with only those colleagues who are reliable, trustworthy and suitably qualified to carry out their role.
Our checks include:
- Employment & Education History
- Address History
- Proof of Residence
- Identity
- Financial Status/History
- Criminal Records
- Sanctions
We do work hard to make sure the recruitment processes is as smooth and efficient as possible, but we know it may take time for your checks to come back.
There are a few things you can do to help us speed this up:
- Having proof of your right to work in the UK. This could be a valid UK passport, Birth Certificate & Proof of NI, or if you are not a British Citizen, you will need to generate a Share Code via the Gov website.
- Start gathering the details for your references including contact details and dates, plus dates for any gaps in employment.
- Obtain documents including a proof of address and a proof of ID (e.g. driving licence, passport, paper bank statements or paper bills).
- Look out in junk/spam folders for an email from the Security Watchdog – your welcome email should arrive soon after you sign your contract of employment.
- Log on and complete the checks ASAP. Checks typically take around 14 working days to complete. The sooner you complete the application and submitted the correct documentation, the quicker they will be completed! Any delays to the checks could mean a change in start date, so do respond to any contact from Security Watchdog as soon as you can.
Security Watchdog will work directly with you to get your background check completed as soon as possible, however if you have any questions about the process, please do not hesitate to contact your Talent Acquisition Partner should you have any questions! You can also find out more details on the Security Watchdog website such as accepted documentation or the questions asked in the declarations section here.
